What Himayat gives you
Himayat is Jammu & Kashmir’s skilling and placement mission for unemployed youth, run under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana. It provides free skill training lasting 3 to 12 months, and — importantly — does not stop at training. Once you are placed in a job, you receive post-placement support of ₹2,000 a month for six months (₹12,000 in total) to help you settle into work. During the training itself, you also get a travel and food allowance of ₹50 for every day you attend.
