What the programme is
The Amrit Internship Programme is run by ICRO — the IPL Centre for Rural Outreach, a joint initiative of Indian Potash Limited (IPL) and the National Productivity Council (NPC). Interns work as a bridge between the farm sector and rural households: they meet farmers, spread awareness about agricultural productivity and government schemes, and collect field data. It pays a ₹6,000/month stipend and is aimed at rural youth who want practical exposure to agriculture and rural development.

Selected interns receive ₹6,000 per month. The internship runs for three months to begin with and can be renewed up to four times, so a good intern can continue for an extended period. A completion certificate is issued at the end — but note that if you leave early (a seven-day notice applies), the certificate is not given.
