Benefits

Beneficiaries receive up to ₹2,00,000 annually to cover tuition and other academic fees, along with a monthly stipend of ₹5,000.

This scholarship is available for the children of handloom weavers or workers from economically disadvantaged households. Each weaver can apply for up to two children, and applicants must be enrolled in recognized textile institutions.

How to apply

Applications can be submitted online through the prescribed format to the relevant Weavers' Service Centre (WSC).

Fill out the application form with all required details and attach necessary documents.
Submit the completed application to the concerned Weavers' Service Centre (WSC).
The WSC will verify the documents and forward the proposal to the Zonal Office.
The Zonal Office will review the proposal and request funds from the head office for approval.
Funds will be transferred directly to the bank account of the weaver or their child via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
