Full guide

What the scheme gives you

The Shramik Basera Yojana gives registered construction workers in Gujarat a safe, affordable place to live near their worksite — prefabricated housing units for just ₹5 a day. Because construction work moves from site to site, the units are temporary and designed to be set up near the work and dismantled afterwards. On top of the ₹5 rent, electricity, drinking water, security, and medical and childcare facilities are provided free, and children up to age 6 stay with the worker rent-free.

Who can apply

This is a welfare-board benefit, so board registration is the key requirement. You are eligible if:

  • Your family has no income-tax payer or government employee

How to apply

Registration and application are online on the e-Nirman portal (enirmanbocw.gujarat.gov.in).
